65 pending cases for 2004 here. Even if we multiply by 10 - 650 cases?. Fair deal?
I have also been wondering how to extrapolate this to total numbers. Its probably a good reprsentation of spread. (ie. 1% is 2003 and earlier, 20% are in 2004). but actual numbers???

Sorry for the delay. I was out of action for the last week or so and hence couldn't reply earlier. Thanks for your suggestions and keep them coming.
We have added more words to the meta keywords of the site. However we do have to realize that what really matters in Search Engine rankings is the linking from other sites. Hence as we're getting more and more exposure, more sites link to us and it is boosting our ranking.

My wife's H4 expires on Oct 1, 2007......We plan to file our I-485 by July 16, 2007.......I am sure it will take atleast 90 days to get her EAD.....whats her status between Oct1,2007 till the time EAD gets approved?......Will she be in valid status during that period?

My advice to most people who do not perfectly fit into eb2 is to do the eb3 petition first (which is guaranteed to be approved). Get your place in line for the greencard.
If it is taking too long then you can try an eb2 later; if it gets approved then you will get the old priority date. If it doesn't; well you can say you tried but you didn't lost your place in line for the greencard because you still have the old eb3 in place.
However, if your cases is not clear for eb2 and you try this first and it gets denied then you will lose valuable time in line for the greencard because you have to start from the beginning.
Since, last august DOL has become weird with even approving eb3 labors. Generally, attornies will put language in the eta 9089 that they will accept three years of experience for each year of bachelors degree missing (this is in line with education evaluators and uscis).
However, this isn't the same criteria DOL uses. They will state that if a person doesn't have a degree then you are willing to accept 12 years of experience which is excessive and they deny the labor (before they were giving hard time to eb2 but not it is eb3 that they are after). So now we have an issue that DOL criteria is different then uscis critera. You use dol criteria, labor gets approved but 140 gets denied. Use uscis criteria and labor gets denied. Now, everyone has to adjust and file eb3 labors as skilled workers and only require two years of experience (it's getting more and more messy)

The people who wants to be a part of American Society should first definately be a very open minded towards all cultures and social trends.
Other thing to be Indian or representing Indian traditions is not a crime but certainly every time barking against anything Indian may certainly be a crime as it is a clear indication of closed door or prejudicial mind towards one particular country and culture. Americans do not mind if one shows that he is Indian now and want to become in American future. Although they prefer that AND that is why they label Jindal as Indian-American although he born in USA. If there are majority Indians on IV board, it is not a crime but it is obvious. Some of my chienese friends on IV board may start thread for wishing chienese festival, I bet most Indians on this board will welcome and same goes with Muslim friends on IV board. Starting and wishing EID MUBARAK thread (By the way that is also a Indian tradition..And I am proud of that too) is not a crime and by now if nobody started it does not mean other people may not welcome it. If you are a Muslim, start the thread for EID Mubarak, I will be the first to welcome that step. You want to be American,, right? the problem currently is that the system is full of lies. when you came here did you know that only 10,000 indians, by LAW, are allowed to get employment GCs per year? i asked the exact same question to my lawyer... she had no evidence or past precedents... i doubt if any lawyer will have it...
the thing to note here is this: more often than not, your 485 will get approved (if your case is approvable) without any issues in the normal course... the question of denial comes ONLY IF there is an RFE and then ONLY IF IO is not satisfied with your RFE and he calls you over for an interview and then ONLY IF he is not satisfied with answers you give in interview. Taking a wild guess, we are talking about maybe small percentage of folks going to the RFE stage and fraction of that going to interview and a fraction of that actually getting denials... if people have other complications such as basic legalities in their business/self-employment or any other issues such as no pay for long time etc... then i suspect they may get denied whether self employed or not.... but if all is clear, then it should be very minimal...
