This is true and the only one working actively working for our cause. If this organization is not succeeding to its full potential, its only because high skilled immigrants did not support it to the extent they could. Everyone wants to know what IV acheived - with $175???

As you say that the illegal immigrant lobby gets hundreds of thousands of dollars per month. Do you think any illegal immigrant is contributing this money. They work for minimum wages and have hardly any money to spare.

I have donated as much as I can without getting my budget in jeopardy with all the mortgage , taxes, "health insurance " .medicare, car payments etc etc that we have to deal with.
Another point I think is that even if IV had a couple of million dollars I don't think it will be able to pursuade the Congress to pass any legislation to bring relief to legal immigrants considering the mood of the people in the Congress . No one would like to hurt their political career with voting for us in the Congress. The politicians do only lip service whether for illegal or legal immigrant bills. They have zero interest in seeing them passed in the Congress.

Just hours before President Obama hosts lawmakers for a discussion on immigration at the White House, Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel conceded that Obama and his allies on Capitol Hill do not have the votes to pass a comprehensive reform bill.
"If the votes were there, you wouldn't need to have the meeting. You could go to a roll call," Emanuel told reporters during an hour-long breakfast.
About 20 senators and House members are due to arrive at the White House at 2 p.m. for the discussion in the State Dining Room. Aides to the president said the meeting was intended to "launch a policy conversation by having an honest discussion about the issues and identifying areas of agreement and areas where we still have work to do."
The president will announce administrative actions that the White House has already taken to chip away at the issues, including a modernization of computers that allow people to quickly see their immigration status. Officials said the White House hopes to begin the more controversial debate over a comprehensive approach to address illegal immigration later this year.
But Emanuel offered reporters a more realistic assessment, saying that while it is "not impossible" to get immigration reform done this year, it is more likely to be pushed off.
"It's not impossible to do it this year," he said. "Could you get it in this year? Yes. I think the more important thing is to get it started this year."
Responding to a question about the political implications for Democrats of delay, Emanuel said, "It's better that it happens politically. It's also better that we continue to focus on improving the economy."

About EB2 people filing is only from my personal experience. Every single friend I knew who was in EB3 with PD somewhere mine filed for perm EB2.

No I did not, I put H1B transfer and joined new company later he found out and i told him over phone i joined another company but my H1B with his company is still active.

This "AP already approved" so no interimAP(even for emergency) audiotape started since Middle of OCT from NSC IO and local IO's. My AP got LUD on Oct 11th and they said that your AP approved so dont bug us for a duplicate. Wait ... Wait .. Wait ... But how long ??

Arent you concerned that if its approved on Oct 1, and you didnt get it, then where is it? Did you ask them as to why you havent gotten it in mail even though it has been approved a month ago? Also, did you check with your lawyer if he got anything?

A bill has been introduced in the Senate that would address some of these delays and caps. The �Reuniting American Families Act� (S. 1085) would recapture unused employment-based visas from prior years. Tired of waiting ( PD: August 2001) I finally wrote to both my local congressman and Senator today. My senator is on senate Immigration commitee so lets see what happens. Hopefully something will move.
If this doesnt help I will try Ombudsman next after couple of months. The Ombudsman form has a question of if you have tried through Congressman etc first so we can try and see that.
Guys its so funny when you see ppl with PD of 2003 and 2005 complaining and bitching. Here we have waited 7 + yrs our PD's are current and we are doing OK. Wait sure brings maturity :)
