Bethenny Frankel Talk Show Pilot Now Filming Under Guidance Of Producer Ellen

Ellen DeGeneres has anything to say about it, we’re about to see a lot more “Skinny” on the small screen.

Bethenny Frankel, former star of Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York City, is working on a talk show pilot with Emmy-winning daytime chatter DeGeneres, informants squeal to The Hollywood Reporter.

“The show’s format calls for multiple segments to be produced, according to a source, some of which have yet to be taped. If ordered to series, the project will most likely be filmed in New York, a source says, but an official decision has not been made,” The Reporter writes.

The waify married mother of one amassed a small fortune after recently unloading her Skinnygirl cocktail/cookbook empire earlier this year, and has since turned her focus to testing out the talk show circuit, insiders say. If Bethenny’s still-untitled talker earns a network pickup, the reality personality could be giving fellow daytime newcomer Katie Couric a run for her microphone by the Fall of 2012. Couric, as you may recall, inked a deal to host a gabfest for ABC that is set for premiere next year.

After bidding au revoir to the Housewives in 2009, Bethenny has maintained a popular fanbase with her spinoff show — Bethenny Ever After — which follows the diva’s adventures as a new wife and mom.
